Bellwether Education Partners

Bellwether Education Partners is a national nonprofit focused on dramatically changing education and life outcomes for underserved children. We do this by helping education organizations accelerate their impact and by working to improve policy and practice.
Bellwether envisions a world in which race, ethnicity, and income no longer predict opportunities for students, and the American education system affords all individuals the ability to determine their own path and lead a productive and fulfilling life.

Teach Plus

Teach Plus' programs are designed to engage and support teacher leaders in transforming the system to best serve minority students and students of color. Since 2009, Teach Plus has grown from 16 teachers to a network of more than 26,000 solutions-oriented teachers nationwide.

In July 2017, Teach Plus Texas launched a partnership with Harmony Public Schools to train and provide year-long coaching to 200 Teacher Leaders from Houston and Dallas to the Rio Grande Valley and El Paso, Through this Teacher-Led Professional Learning (TLPL) partnership, the Teacher Leaders will help to ensure effective collaboration between teachers - ultimately supporting the learning of Harmony's 35,000 students.

Corwin Press & instructional coaching Group

Harmony adopted Jim Knight’s instructional coaching model to ensure that every student received excellent instruction, every day, in every class, by sharing high impact teaching strategies and proven instructional coaching practices to provide ongoing coaching and support to all teachers in structured cycles where teachers identify current realities of their classrooms, set goals, come up with strategies, and put their learnings into practice until they reach their goals.

BloomBoard

As a way to engage teachers in deeper and differentiated PD, Harmony identified micro-credentials for personalized, competency-based PD where teachers decide and control their own professional learning. BloomBoard provides the tech platform that hosts hundreds of micro-credentials and supporting collections that teachers and schools can choose from to support their practice in the classroom. Harmony worked with BloomBoard to identify a set of micro-credentials that align with our current teacher evaluation system (H-TESS) and improve essential classroom teaching practices identified in Teach Like a Champion (TLaC) to build those high-leverage skills in the classroom.
