Harmony Supporting Top Educators Program (H-STEP)

Our TIF Grant Project (“Harmony Supporting Top Educators Program” or H-STEP), aims to support Harmony’s large number of educators to become more effective and remain at Harmony, with the following focus levers/activities:

  • Deepening and differentiating professional development for teachers and administrators: Harmony’s PD to date has supported teachers in delivering great student results overall, but with tremendous variation across schools and educators

  • Enhancing consistency in career pathways across the system: Harmony has a variety of pathways available to team members today, yet lack of transparency about those pathways and clarity about what development and experiences are needed for successful transition have limited impact on effectiveness and retention

  • Rewarding teaching and leading with financial incentives: Harmony wants to build a stronger culture of recognition to support goals around effectiveness and retention

To enable the above goals with the TIF funding now available, we need a clearer structure for what we want the future state to look like and therefore where to focus funds and capacity on content and systems development.
